Description: The combo has the flexibility of either enjoying the boat tour in morning or afternoon, depending on the tides. The other half of the day would be dedicated to a hiking tour of Carara National Park. A wonderful way to experience a large variety of birds in one day. A lunch break in between activities.
Mangrove Birding Boat Tour is designed to get special birds such as: Mangrove Hummingbird, the only inland Costa Rica endemic, Mangrove Warbler, Vireo, and most of Herons, Egret and dozens of wader from North America but some other birds are Trogons, Becards, Flycatchers, etc.. (Please, check the full birdlist). Also a great tour for those with physical limitations and a must for Bird Photographers.
At Carara National Park a hike to old grown forest on a system of 3 interconnected trails with numerous new species such as: Great Tinamou, Ruddy Quail Dove, Golden Crowned Spadebill, Orange Collared, Blue Crowned, Red Capped, Thrushlike Manakins, more Trogons and antbirds like Streaked Chested Antpitta, Black Faced Antrush and the list goes on. Great trails for endemics..
Rate: $90 per person (minimum 4 people, max 6.)*Email for rate if you are less than 4 people.
