Guides: As qualified guides for birding goes, to certain level can be found, our recommendations are:
( if you do not wish us to take you there )
1. Make sure, the guide are getting is what he preaches to be. ( we have met tourists, very disappointed of their services cause the guide has not been able to identified many of the birds by call, or sight )
2. Many of them overcharge for their so call professional bird tour s, they are asking $20 usd person for a marathon thru the forest rather a relaxing bird hike that you are paying for. The major reason why the do this such is because they hope to find more people at the station looking for a guide. Basically your hike is on the clock, and if you wish to continue, the possibility is that they might charge for that extra bird or they will constantly be looking at their watch.
